What is your paper topic?

Biometrics Technology, a threat or protection?

How will you start your paper?

I will start my paper by defining Biometrics, introduce the technology and the different types of Biometrics.

What is your thesis?

My thesis is that Biometrics is great technology and it will replace other type of identification such as IDs, passwords and PINs around the world. Although others might think of it as invasion of privacy, I believe it is a technology with more advantages than disadvantages.

What is the counter argument?

Counter argument is Biometrics technology is an invasion of the privacy and a threat to our personal inforamtion.

What are the three points of your argument?

· When comparing Biometrics to any other authorization technology, Biometrics doesn’t raise any more concerns.

· Biometrics information are stored in the systems is useless format to hackers or other threats.

· The advantage of preventing Identity theft and other frauds will overcome any disadvantages the Biometrics technology might have.

What is your conclusion?

Biometrics is a method to prevent identity theft and although many people think it is invasion of our privacy, it is absolutely doesn’t raise more concerns than any other authorization technology.
